Measuring 2'6" x 2'6", this antique Persian Baluch bagface is a richly expressive piece featuring a powerful octagonal central medallion flanked by angular tribal motifs and octogram rosettes. Deep navy blue grounds are layered with subtle maroon and red accents, framed by an ivory and black zigzag border. Originally the front panel of a tribal storage bag, it retains a sense of utilitarian authenticity while functioning beautifully today as a unique decorative textile, wall hanging, or accent rug.

Baluch rugs are traditionally woven by semi-nomadic Baluch tribes straddling the borderlands of eastern Iran and western Afghanistan. Known for their compact wool weaves and moody, earthy color palettes—often with navy, brown, and dark red tones—these rugs frequently feature allover geometric motifs, latch-hook medallions, or prayer-niche designs. Bagfaces like this one were once integral to nomadic life, serving as both practical storage items and artistic expressions of tribal identity.

Shipping will be calculated automatically in checkout for customers outside of the Continental US. International customers should note that any delays due to customs, or import taxes or duties incurred at customs are their responsibility.
Returns
We gladly accept returns and exchanges and have a no-hassle return policy. The customer should contact us within 14 days of delivery in order to begin processing the return. Upon receiving the rug we will refund your original form of payment. While we provide free shipping to the Continental US when sending out the rug, the return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. For international purchases, we will not be able to accept returns.

February 17, 10:08 pm and rug has not arrived as promised by FedEx. According to tracking information, the rug was supposed to be here hours ago. It has been at the depot in Staunton, VA — 25 miles from here - for 4 days. What’s going on? The same thing happened just two weeks ago. Fed Ex claimed that deliveries were held up by fires in California and floods in Louisiana. What now Fed Ex? What do you do with our stuff at your facility in Staunton? FedEx drivers lose their tempers.
