Persian City Rugs
Persian city rugs were woven in workshops in Iran's great weaving cities, such as Tabriz, Isfahan, Kashan, Kerman, Nain, Mashad and Qum. Master designers drew each pattern on a cartoon, so these rugs have fine knots, flowing floral designs and carefully balanced medallions. See Persian City Rugs in our Rug Encyclopedia.
