Antique Legends is the Karastan collection for people who love the look of an old rug. Its designs, numbered in the 2200 series, are based on antique rugs and are woven in softened, mellow colors that suggest decades of use and sunlight. The collection draws on Persian, Turkish and Indian sources, and its Royal Tabriz is one of the most popular later Karastan designs.

Royal Tabriz
The Royal Tabriz is a medallion design in the Tabriz tradition, often in light tan and burgundy. It was made in sizes from 5' 9" x 9' to room size, and it is the design most associated with the collection. See Karastan Tabriz Rugs.
Bakhtiyari, 2200-202
The Bakhtiyari follows the garden panel rugs of the Bakhtiari people of west central Iran, whose field is divided into compartments filled with trees and flowers. It was also made as a runner. See Bakhtiari Rugs.
Oushak, 2200-203
The Oushak adapts the large-scale, softly colored rugs of Ushak in western Turkey, prized by decorators for their relaxed elegance. See Oushak Rugs.
Emperor's Hunt, 2200-204
The Emperor's Hunt is a pictorial design of riders and animals in the tradition of the Persian hunting carpet. It is a later relative of the Original Collection's #723 Persian Hunting rug. See Pictorial and Hunting Rugs.
Agra
The Agra design follows the Indian rugs of Agra, often on a dark ground. See Indian Rugs.
